About Tenzin Phuntsog

Tenzin Phuntsog is a filmmaker and artist based in Montana. His films A Singing Blade, and Four Rivers have screened at museums, galleries and festivals worldwide. Working also as an archivist, Tenzin is the director of the Tibet Film Archive, which he founded in 2005 and the production company Plateaux. In 2009, he received a Film Restoration Scholarship from FIAF in Italy. Tenzin is currently completing postproduction on his forthcoming documentary Ritual of Resistance which presents portraits of three generations of Tibetans in exile. He is also a professor of film at Montana State University.

In this engaging evening, Tenzin will talk about three pieces of his art, how they came into being, the process of making them, and what they represent for him.
