“The Power of the Heart”

A Day-long Retreat with

Dana Marsh

Saturday, September 24th
9:30 am – 4:30 pm

The most important aspect of practice is to gain deep insight in an experiential manner. This is made possible not by striving and intellectual manipulations but by resting in the natural state of mind. Transcendent wisdom can arise when we let go.

Dana will share how to integrate the wisdom of emptiness into our lives as an ongoing experience.  Dana’s teachings are full of warmth, humor and inspiring insights into the experience of the non-dual.
This retreat is recommended for all levels of experience.

Costs and The Practice of Generosity
Retreats at the Dharma Center have a 2-part “cost:”  Because the teachings are considered priceless and are to be supported by generosity, we ask that you make an offering to the teacher, in gratitude and support of the teachings – as best fits your circumstances and brings you joy in giving.  This will be collected at the retreat.

Secondly, we ask a sliding-scale registration fee to cover travel expenses and the cost of putting on the retreat.  Scholarships are always readily available (there is no application, just email and ask for it!).
No one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
(More information and rates on the registration page.)
We will also be taking registrations at the door for this event.

More from Dana Marsh:

There are skillful means in the Buddhist tradition for working with our suffering and the suffering of others. Dana will share wisdom from the great masters about keeping an open heart and living compassionately. Participants will actively engage in powerful strategies to transform the way they see their circumstances, themselves and others.

By becoming conscious of our inner world, our habits, beliefs, neurosis and attachments, there is an opportunity to see their empty nature and in doing so transform our lives.  The wisdom we need is already within us, it is who we are. By living in awareness and gaining insight, we discover this for ourselves.

In order to reveal this wisdom in our consciousness, we need to try on a new way of seeing and relating to life and all the conditions it presents, then the extraordinariness of who we are can reveal itself and the chain that bind us to old hardened views will break.  we can experience extraordinary freedom moment by moment, embracing all that life offers.
