Bozeman, MT 59715
May 30; June 6, 13, 20
7:00 pm – 8:45 pm
led by Tempel Smith
The Buddha taught four limitless expressions of a free heart called the Brahma Viharas: loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity. These warm, clear, and expansive qualities of heart are both tastes of the path to freedom and the outcome of awakening. Within these four Brahma Viharas are many other beautiful tones of heart such as gratitude, forgiveness, loyalty, generosity, etc. We will practice and develop one Brahma Vihara per week.
May 30: Loving-Kindness – Metta
June 6: Compassion – Karuna
June 13: Empathetic Joy – Mudita
June 20: Equanimity – Upekkha
Drop in, open to all. No prior experience or registration required. Come to any or all, as you are able. Offered for a suggested, sliding scale contribution.
