Walking the Spiritual Path: Awakening, Integration and Engagement in Buddhist Practice
with special visiting teacher
Pam Weiss
October 5th, 6th and 7th
Friday evening: 7:00 – 9:00 pm
This evening is also open to the public as a stand-alone event.
Saturday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
During this weekend retreat, we will explore the archetypal stages of spiritual life using Joseph Campbell’s universal map of the Hero’s Journey. Pamela will share myths and stories from the life of the Buddha and the women and men who surrounded him as examples for how to embody transcendent wisdom, fierce compassion and wholehearted engagement in the world. You will leave with new insights into your own spiritual path and practice, and tools for integrating your insights into skillful action.
Our time together will include silent and guided meditation, dharma talks, interactive inquiry and ritual. All are welcome. This retreat is appropriate for both newcomers and experienced Buddhist practitioners.
Out of town guests may find this list of resources helpful.
