DESCRIPTION:A Community Day of Giving\nThursday May 1\, 6 PM – Friday May 2\, 6 PM\nWe’re excited to participate again in Give Big Gallatin Valley\, our local day of giving hosted by One Valley Community Foundation. In addition to the Bozeman Dharma Center\, please consider giving to other nonprofits who have complementary missions like Montana Mindfulness Project and The Compassion Project. Together we can make the world a more grounded\, loving place. \nAs we make our yearly budget\, we count on donations during Give Big to cover basic organizational needs including all the tasks that our staff take care of. This year we hope to raise $13\,000 to pay for Michãel and Erin to market our programs\, plan for the future\, and keep the BDC running smoothly.  We are so grateful to them for all that they do–please give them a shout out the next time you see them! \nIf we can surpass the $13\,000 goal\, we will put any additional funds to BDC technological and facility upgrades. The BDC board and staff are intentional with your donations and have been good at figuring out ways to operate on a shoe-string budget and make things last. Unfortunately\, we’ve recently been having trouble with the website (originally designed in 2013!) and we will need to change platforms and redesign the site. Michãel’s laptop is on its last hinges (literally)\, and if possible\, we’d like to improve the lighting\, to make our space more inviting. \nThese improvements will allow us to: \n✅ Equip our staff and volunteers with the technology they need to do their work efficiently \n✅ Effectively spread the word about our unique center with a newly updated website \n✅ Create a more welcoming and comfortable practice space \nAll gifts make a difference! A bell-ringer will open and close the session with three bells and will ring one bell at 12:30.
