SUMMARY:Mahasangha Sit & Wesak Celebration!
DESCRIPTION:Mahasangha half-day retreats allow you to get a feel for the different groups that practice at the BDC and practice in a community. Make connections with dharma friends old and new! In addition to sitting and walking meditation\, chanting\, and tea\, we will perform a Wesak Ceremony celebrating the Buddha’s birthday\, enlightenment\, and passing! We will decorate a flower arbor (please bring a bunch of flowers if you can) and give offerings and sweet tea to a baby Buddha statue.The Wesak Ceremony will begin at 11:10 and is child-friendly and in person only. The rest of the day is offered in person and via Zoom. \nWe’ll have cake and social time afterward! \n \n
