SUMMARY:The Joyful Body half-day retreat with Stephanie Wagner
DESCRIPTION:Retreat Description:\nJoin us for a nourishing half-day retreat exploring the body as a doorway to awareness and innate joy. Discover how simple moments of embodied presence can reveal a natural sense of ease\, openness\, and well-being that is already within you. \nTogether\, we will gently explore practices that help you reconnect with your lived\, felt experience—using the body not as something to fix\, but as a direct path to awakening. Whether you are new to meditation or deepening an existing practice\, you are warmly invited. \nDuring our time together\, we will explore: \n\nMovement-based practices to awaken embodied presence\nA breathing practice to balance energy\nGuided meditations rooted in somatic awareness\nContemplative journaling and quiet reflection\n\nThis retreat offers a supportive space to rest into your experience and discover a sense of wellbeing that emerges when awareness and body meet. \nThis is a hybrid event although Stepanie Wagner will be attending via Zoom. We plan to record it and will send the link to registered participants. Please do not share the recording with others. \n \nTeacher Bio:\n \nStephanie Wagner is a long-time meditator and meditation teacher with the Tergar Meditation Community\, studying under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. She has trained with other renowned Buddhist teachers including Tsoknyi Rinpoche\, Sharon Salzberg\, and Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche.  She is also the Director of Learning and Development at Humin\, a global nonprofit founded by acclaimed neuroscientist Dr. Richard Davidson\, where she works at the intersection of neuroscience and meditation. \nGratitude Practice:\nThe registration fees for the retreat cover the basic costs of putting on the retreat. None of the fees go to the teacher who spends much time and energy preparing the talks. Please consider supporting Stephanie with dana (financial generosity) so she may continue offering the teachings in the future. Dana comes from the heart and is entirely optional. Any amount is supportive. \nCancellation Policy:\nWe understand that life happens and you may not be able to attend the retreat. If you are able to let us know more than two weeks before the event starts\, we are happy to provide a full refund to you minus a $10 admin fee. If you cancel less than two weeks before the event\, we can offer a 50% refund (no less than $10 withheld). If you have to cancel two days before the class\, we appreciate you letting us know but are unable to provide a refund. If you have to cancel\, you have the option to donate your partial or entire registration fee to the BDC scholarship fund. This would be much appreciated and help us make sure no one is turned away from BDC retreat’s due to lack of funds.
