Nectar of the Path is a complete practice encompassing all of the essential aspects of a traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice. In this practice we mix contemplation and meditation\, alternating periods of each and chanting in Tibetan and some visualization. SUMMARY:The Noble Search with Chaim Bryski
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 15\n11AM – 4:30 PM\nWhile myths and legends abound surrounding the life of the historical Buddha (Pāli: Siddhattha Gotama; Skt: Siddhārtha Gautama)\, much of the traditional folklore began appearing only centuries after the Buddha’s lifetime. Yet the earliest Buddhist discourses (as collected in the Pāli Canon and its Chinese and Sanskrit parallels)\, focused as they are on the content of his teachings\, contain no comprehensive biography of the Buddha. \nRather\, scattered throughout these many thousands of discourses\, we find numerous snippets of autobiographical narrative attributed to the Buddha himself. In these first-person accounts\, often shared with his audiences for didactic purposes\, the Buddha recounts a number of his own early-life experiences on his path to awakening\, as a means of imparting some of the hard-won lessons and insights he gained over the course of his personal struggles and breakthroughs. \nDuring this daylong study and practice program\, we will examine a number of these ancient texts\, explore their practical lessons and insights\, and discuss and reflect upon their relevance and application to our own lives. \nTo enhance our exploration of the texts\, the day will also incorporate short dharma talks and guided meditation practices\, as well as periods of group discussion\, peer-based dialogue\, and personal reflection. \n*Please note that all participants will receive a collection of the relevant texts we will be exploring. Hard copies of the material will be available to those attending in-person at the Bozeman Dharma Center\, while those joining online will receive a digital PDF copy via email.” \n \nAbout Chaim: \nChaim is a Dharma teacher\, mindfulness instructor\, and trauma practitioner. Integrating Buddhist teachings & practices with modern healing modalities\, his approach is fueled by a deep curiosity about what it means to be human — mentally\, emotionally\, somatically\, and relationally — and how we can tap into and expand our innate capacities for healing\, growth\, and connection to live more authentic\, meaningful lives.

SUMMARY:Mindful Creativity: Drumming the Heartbeat of Peace
DESCRIPTION:Mindful Explorations of Rhythm and Sound with Shaun Phoenix and Stormi Oshun of Many Hands Light Work.  \nAll over the world\, when people want to feel connected and grow community\, they gather in a circle.  In a circle\, everyone is equal; everyone takes up the same amount of space; everyone can be seen\, and heard\, and honored. \nAnd all over the world\, people drum!  In so many forms\, drumming is that universal language that connects us with one another and with the heartbeat of our community.  We discover our own inner rhythms\, share them in harmony with others\, and create something magical. \nMany Hands Light Work invites you to bring presence\, courage and joy to the truth you find in your own heart\, and the truth you see in others. \nNote: This program will start promptly at 3 PM.
