Mindful of Race

Saturday, February 15
9:30 AM – 3 PM

Growing our inner capacity to face racial ignorance and  suffering with a wise and caring heart.

This revered Insight teacher shines a compassionate, provocative, and practical light into a deeply neglected and world-changing domain profoundly relevant to all of us.

Drawing on her expertise as a meditation teacher and diversity consultant, King helps participants of all backgrounds examine with fresh eyes the complexity of racial identity and the dynamics of oppression. She offers guided instructions on how to work with intense emotions mindfully and shows us how to cultivate a culture of care from a less tangled place to a place of greater clarity and compassion. Everyone is welcome to join us for this rich exploration of being Mindful of Race.

“Understanding how we have been conditioned to think and react is at the root of both racial distress and racial healing.”

Offered for a sliding-scale anonymous suggested donation to the Bozeman Insight Community.  There will be a 1 hour lunch break midway (but we can’t pinpoint the time in the streaming exactly when that will be). We hope you will plan to join us for the day, but will understand if you need to come and go. For any questions, please email BozemanInsightCommunity@gmail.com
