Bringing Insight Meditation Practice and Perspectives to

our emotions, reactions, opinions and action in

the Political Arena*

Thursday, December 12th

at our weekly sangha gathering 7 – 8:30 pm

led by Suzanne Colón

This evening will present some perspectives on why we grip to views and political identities, how we can practice with our reactions and emotions to stay balanced and open, and some tools for considering wise action.

Important to note: All political perspectives are welcome and will be honored. We will not be getting into specific issues, points of view or current events. We’ll be exploring ways to navigate our individual experience of the thick, polarized soup that we’re all in and respond with wisdom, compassion and efficacy.

Practices Emphasized: RAIN, Self-Compassion and Equanimity

*The evening’s practices can be applied to any irritating or difficult situation, family interactions around the holidays for example. The meditations will be led so that participants are free to choose the issue or circumstances explored.

Drop In, no prior registration necessary.
