Relishing the Feminine in Buddhist Practice

Experientially dive into the feminine energies of the practice which include both wisdom and compassion, strength and softness, rigor and nurture. This daylong retreat will offer guided and silent meditation, reflection, journaling, dialogue, stories and shared examination of being women in practice. Please join us!

We’re working to arrange an outdoor venue to meet in person safely. We hope the venue can supply internet so that those wanting to stay home and join over Zoom also can. These details won’t be available until after September first. Please register if you’d like to attend as we’ll send you an email with the details for in person and online options once they’re clear. Thanks for your patience as we try to arrange a better-than-Zoom option for people who’d like to gather together, at a distance, outside. Rain location will be on Zoom only.

About the Teachers

Suzanne Colón has been meditating in the Insight (Vipassana) tradition since 1992 and has been a member of the Bozeman Insight Community (BIC) since moving here in 1998. She completed Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s Community Dharma Leader training in 2017 and is currently the sangha leader for BIC. She’s a mom, a sometimes-writer and a former English teacher and entrepreneur.

Karen DeCotis has been a Zen student since 1986. She is the teacher of the Bozeman Zen Group who received priest ordination in the Soto Lineage in 2016 and Dharma transmission in 2019. Karen brings extensive knowledge of and experience with Buddhist traditions along with a clear-eyed view of human life, suffering and transformation.
