Mahasangha Sit & Wesak Celebration!

Mahasangha half-day retreats allow you to get a feel for the different groups that practice at the BDC and practice in a community. Make connections with dharma friends old and new! In addition to sitting and walking meditation, chanting, and tea, we will perform a Wesak Ceremony celebrating the Buddha’s birthday, enlightenment, and passing! We will decorate a flower arbor (please bring a bunch of flowers if you can) and give offerings and sweet tea to a baby Buddha statue.The Wesak Ceremony will begin at 11:10 and is child-friendly and in person only. The rest of the day is offered in person and via Zoom.
We’ll have cake and social time afterward!
