*Tuesdays: 10:30 – 11:30 am; BIC guided meditation
*Open Hours: Monday 10:30 am – noon and Thursday: 1-3 pm
Everyone is welcome to attend. The Dharma Center provides a safe and inclusive environment for anyone and everyone to share the mystery and beauty of stillness, silence and collective practice.
Weekday Noon Sits
These drop-in sits are held every weekday from noon- 1 PM in silence. For new meditators or those who wish, there is a sheet with simple meditation instructions available. The bell ringer will ring three bells to begin, one bell on the half hour (for those who may want to come or go) and three bells to end. Latecomers are always welcome to quietly come in and join after the meditation has begun.
BIC Guided Drop-in Sits
Occurring on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 – 11:30 AM, the BIC drop-in guided meditations will vary week to week, providing an opportunity to try new practices and ways of working with life’s challenges. The four heart qualities known as the Brahma Viharas (Noble Abodes) will be cultivated with variations on ways to evoke and develop them: Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity.
Open hours are a time when the Dharma Center is open to all. Meditators are invited to come sit on their own, but be advised that the center is open to other uses during this time as well.
Please do not wear fragrances or scented products of any kind when attending the Dharma Center’s events, groups or drop-in sits. Many people are sensitive to fragrances and we ask your help in maintaining a fragrance-free environment.
Please remove your shoes and silence your cell phone at the door. Cubbies are provided in the meditation hall if you would like to bring valuables or personal items in with you.
Drop-in meditations are offered free of any charge, as a communal support to practice.
