Entering the Stream:
A day-long exploration of the first stage of awakening
Saturday, March 9
9:00 am – Noon
led by Floyd Fantelli,
Guiding Teacher of the Bozeman Insight Community
What is “Awakening/Enlightenment “anyway? It’s not that complicated. The Buddhist tradition recognizes four levels of an Awakened mind, the first of which is called “Stream Entry”, referring to an analogy that once entering the stream of an awake mind, one will inevitably realize a fully awakened state of mind. This half day will explore this first stage, the practices leading to it, the results of it and three obstacles we’ll encounter along the way. We’ll learn some meditative practices that will (figuratively) “get your feet wet”. You’ve been at the side of the pool long enough! Time to jump in and enjoy the water. No meditative experience is necessary for this class. Open to all! Beginners welcome! We’re all beginners!
“I think you will find these teachings beneficial to your meditation practice as well as daily life and relationships. I look forward to seeing you! May you all be well, happy and peaceful.”
