Awakening in the Anthropocene Responding with Heart to
Global Climate Change

Saturday, September 16th

9:30 am – 4:30 pm

led by Kristin Barker

How can we wisely and compassionately respond to the developing environmental crisis? Often we feel helpless or overwhelmed by the size and scale of the problems. Join visiting teacher Kristin Barker to explore how our Buddhist practice can shape our individual and collective response to the planet’s needs, and we can become part of the emerging solution.

While in Bozeman Kristin will also be a guest teacher at the Insight Community’s weekly meeting on Thursday, September 14th, a featured speaker at the MT Racial Equity Project’s Forum on September 15th  and give the following lecture that evening:

The Journey to a Positive White Identity
Hager Auditorium, Museum of the Rockies
Friday September 15th
7:00 – 8:30 pm
with Judith Heilman, Director of the MT Racial Equity Project

Kristin has a gift for infusing the racial dialogue with compassion, understanding and the comfort of a vision for healing across racial divides. The Dharma Center highly recommends attending both the Forum and her lecture on Friday the 15th.
