Medicine Buddha Practice

The Palyul Tibetan Buddhist Sangha is pleased to announce a Medicine Buddha Practice, 9:00-10:30 am, Sunday, October 25th. This prayer pays homage to Medicine Buddha, also known as the Healing Master of Lapis Lazuli Radiance, after its distinctive deep blue body colour. In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, there are three aspects of health: innate or intrinsic, acquired or conditioned and healing. Medicine Buddha practices are related to all three aspects of health. The practice of Medicine Buddha is one of the most profound ways of purifying illnesses, emotions and karmic imprints. In this practice prayers are offered to request the blessing of Medicine Buddha to heal diseases and other afflictions, as well as overcome obstacles, in order to achieve temporary and ultimate happiness for all.

The practice will be led by visiting Lama Pasang.  Lama Pasang is the traditional Tibetan omzed- chant master, for Palyul lineage’s yearly international retreat and other major celebrations and practices.  His voice is profoundly resonant and rich and will offer a deep connection and experience to this beautiful practice.  Lama Pasang is very experienced with those new to Tibetan Buddhist practices and all are welcome.
