There are a few spots still available for our women’s wintering retreat: “The Practice of Sacred Quiet and Stillness” with Suzanne Colón & Karen DeCotis. This day of practice includes poetry, meditation, female companionship and mutual support for our collective journey through winter. Held in person in the Boyd Room of Pilgrim Congregational Church at 2118 South 3rd or via Zoom (please note: this is not the normal BDC Zoom number). Register here.

MindSpace Meditation Group Begins Next Week!

MindSpace is the perfect group if you are under 40 and want to begin a meditation practice or would like the support of a group to help deepen and maintain your current practice. Currently scheduled to meet in the Sanctuary of Pilgrim Congregational, but may go online due to the COVID surge. Stay tuned. More information about upcoming topics can be found here.

Awakening the Body of Love

Join the Thich Nhat Hanh Practice Group at Beall Park Recreation Center on Saturday, Jan 22 from 9:30am-3:30pm for a Day of Mindfulness! Whether seasoned in the practice of meditation or new to the practice, coming home to mindfulness of the body lays the foundation for personal and societal transformation. Offered by Dharmacharya Greg Grallo in the Plum Village tradition, we will return to the Four Establishments of Mindfulness and explore the interconnection between the body, the mind, and the world.

Impermanence in Action

This week, several of our volunteers have been exposed to Covid and are waiting on test results which has led to the decision to postpone the noon sits for the rest of January. Similarly, the Bozeman Zen Group has decided to move to Zoom-only for the rest of the month. Stay safe everyone!

  • Bozeman Insight Community will not be meeting on Thursday, December 23
  • Bozeman Zen Group will not meet on Sunday, December 26 or Monday, December 27

Monday, December 13: Discovering Our Female Ancestors

Every 2nd Monday of the month through March, Wendy Roberts and Karen DeCotis will offer short talks on Buddhist female ancestors at the Bozeman Zen Group meeting. We will sit zazen, have a short service, then dive into the rich lineage of women of the Dharma. Adepts, teachers, bodhisattvas and wise women – getting to know the stories, the struggles and the inspiration of women’s practice from Shakymuni Buddha to now. No registration necessary. All welcome!
