Developing the Means for a Courageous, Balanced and Purposeful Life

with Dave Smith

Saturday, October 8
10 AM – 4 PM

The World over is rich with time tested and well-practiced contemplative tools for well-being and human flourishing. Science and psychology are now discovering that various forms of meditative training can promote psychological and emotional health. The Buddhist tradition has long acknowledged that life is difficult for everyone. Buddhist practice and philosophy also points directly to the means of how we can embrace and overcome what troubles us. If we can better develop a realistic view of our shared humanity and foster practical tools for overcoming our challenges while celebrating our joy and success, we can begin to experience a more full, balanced, and purposeful life. During this day-long event, Dave will offer a range of practices and perspectives to help us better understand how to develop a healthier inner life.

There will be guided meditation exercises, short lectures, and time for Q&A. This event is appropriate for anyone interested in the topic.

Note: Registering for this retreat includes entry to Dave’s Friday night talk or you can register for the Friday talk separately.
